Lincoln, NE Capitol

Outside of Lincoln, NE capitol. Even before you walk in, you find beautiful detailed work. It was very inspiring and hopefully I will go back for the tour and to take more photos.

Old School Skater- 9.2.12

"Skating before any of you were born."

As soon as I saw this skater at the skate park, I was immediately enthralled with his very presence. Yes, age was definitely a factor, but also his old school skater essence. He reminded me of  'The Z-boys', a group of influential skaters of the mid-1970s. Now if only we were in Southern California. He was there to have fun and he motivated everyone around him to become a better skater. As other skaters went, he would yell encouragement. He was the epitome of the Kahuna from the 1959 film, Gidget. All the younger skaters looked up to this skater who had to go with the flow of life especially when skating has changed over the last 40 years. 

I am happy that I was able to get this shot as he got air; however this picture is not great. For me, the lines are very distracting. The lighting is too bright, which is a flaw that keeps happening. Also, the subject is not centered.
